Overview

RememberAll is a personal memory-logging app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We have written it to be readable, not to bury things in legal language.

1. What We Collect

Account information

  • Email address — login identifier and account recovery.
  • Display name — the name you enter when you sign up.
  • Password — stored as a bcrypt hash. We cannot read your password.
  • Recovery word — stored as a bcrypt hash. Used to reset your password without email.

Your memories

  • Text notes and titles you write.
  • Categories, tags, and priority labels.
  • Dates, times, recurrence settings, expiry dates.
  • Completion status and reminder times.

Location data (optional)

Only collected when you explicitly tap the location pin while creating a memory. We never collect your location passively or in the background.

Photos (optional)

Only collected when you choose to attach an image to a memory.

App settings

Your preferences are synced to our server so they survive reinstalls. Your app-lock PIN is stored as a hash — we cannot read it.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID).
  • Behaviour tracking across other apps or websites.
  • Financial information.
  • Contacts or call/message logs.
  • Analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
  • Voice recordings — audio is transcribed and immediately discarded.
  • 3. How We Use Your Data

  • To store and retrieve your memories.
  • To power AI features — classification and recall.
  • To sync your settings across reinstalls.
  • To verify your identity when you log in.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app for you.

    4. Third-Party Services

    Groq, Inc. — AI processing

When you use voice input or AI recall, the text of your note and/or voice transcript is sent to Groq's servers for processing.
    • What is sent: note text, voice transcript, your recent memory titles and tags, your timezone.
    • What is NOT sent: your email, name, location coordinates, images.
    • Groq's privacy policy: groq.com/privacy-policy

    Google Play

If you downloaded this App from Google Play, Google collects information per their own Privacy Policy.

    5. Data Storage and Security

  • Location: Servers in the United States (Google Cloud Platform, us-central1).
  • Transit: All communication is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
  • Passwords: Hashed with bcrypt (never stored in plain text).
  • API access: Protected by short-lived JWT tokens (1-hour expiry).
  • 6. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (Settings → Account → Delete Account), all your data is permanently and immediately deleted. Backups may retain a copy for up to 30 days.

    7. Your Rights

  • Access: All your memories are visible inside the App.
  • Correction: Edit any memory inside the App.
  • Deletion: Delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  • Data export: Email rememberall.co@gmail.com and we will send your data within 30 days.
  • Opt out of AI: Use the app without voice input — your note text will not be sent to Groq.
  • If you are in the EEA or UK, you may have rights under GDPR including lodging a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

    8. Children's Privacy

RememberAll is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, contact us immediately at rememberall.co@gmail.com.

    9. Changes

We will update the "Last updated" date for any changes. For significant changes we will notify you through the App.
